A take-off connector is used to take water from a main irrigation pipe and deliver it to a smaller drip lateral, extension tube, riser tube, or micro tube. It creates a controlled outlet from the mainline and allows water to move from the main pipe toward the plant row or irrigation point.

In a drip irrigation system, the main pipe or PE lateral carries water along the field. A clean hole is made in the pipe using a proper punch tool. The take-off connector is then inserted into the punched hole and tightened or sealed depending on the connector type. The outlet side is connected to a smaller drip tube, micro tube, or lateral line that carries water to the crop area.

This fitting is very important because it helps create branch outlets from the mainline without cutting the whole pipe. It allows farmers and irrigation technicians to connect individual rows, plant lines, or small irrigation extensions in a clean, organized, and leak-resistant way.

Practical Installation Steps:

Important Installation Note:

Important Clarification:
