Short Description
UNICEF Nigeria is seeking a national consultant to conduct a mid-term review of the WASH Gender Landscape Analysis and associated action plans in Kaduna and Adamawa. The review will assess progress, effectiveness and gender-transformative results.
Opportunity overview
The consultancy will examine how recommendations from UNICEF’s WASH Gender Landscape Analysis are being implemented through the Accelerated Sanitation and Water for All programme. Using mixed, participatory and gender-responsive methods, the consultant will assess relevance, effectiveness, efficiency and early impact. Particular attention will be given to women, girls, persons with disabilities and underserved rural communities, as well as institutional capacity, accountability, community participation and control over WASH resources.
Requirements and eligibility
Advanced university degree in development studies, gender studies, public health, WASH engineering, monitoring and evaluation, social sciences or a related discipline; approximately 7–10 years of relevant professional experience; demonstrated gender-analysis and evaluation experience; strong qualitative research, stakeholder-engagement and reporting skills; fluency in English. Hausa or another relevant local language is an advantage.
