Authored the Climate Resilient Drainage Design chapter covering hydrological analysis, culvert design, highway drainage, flood risk assessment, erosion protection, climate adaptation and infrastructure resilience. -
Great East Road Engineering Investigation in Zambia
Led the technical investigation of premature pavement failures along the Great East Road in Zambia. Reviewed drainage designs, hydrological and hydraulic analyses, rainfall records, streamflow information and water level data, identified critical technical deficiencies and developed practical recommendations for resilient highway rehabilitation. -
Dubai Strategic Deep Sewer Tunnel Programme
Served as Design Manager and Construction Supervision Manager for major Dubai Municipality deep sewer projects, including DS430/1, DS430/2, DS305, DS208/1 and DS288. Managed large diameter gravity sewers, deep sewer links, hydraulic systems, utility interfaces, detailed design, tender documentation, IFC production and construction supervision. -
Dubai Stormwater Rehabilitation and Flood Management Programme
Led multidisciplinary engineering teams responsible for assessment, rehabilitation and upgrading of major stormwater systems in Dubai. Managed hydrological studies, hydraulic modelling, flood risk assessments, drainage network improvements and high capacity stormwater pumping facilities. -
Dubai Metro Blue Line Flood Modelling Studies
Conducted hydrological and two dimensional flood modelling for the Dubai Metro Blue Line and associated road infrastructure projects. Assessed flood extents, established design flood levels at stations and substations, evaluated culvert performance and developed short term and long term flood mitigation solutions. -
Mozambique National Hydrology and Road Drainage Standards
Worked as a specialist subconsultant to the Transport Research Laboratory on a World Bank funded assignment. Co-authored national hydrology and road drainage standards and manuals covering flood estimation, culverts, bridge hydraulics, roadside drainage, erosion protection and infrastructure maintenance. -
Ethiopian Road Drainage Design Manual
Served as Team Leader and Lead Author for revision of the Ethiopian Road Drainage Design Manual. Led development of nationally applied guidance for hydrological analysis, culverts, bridge hydraulics, roadside drainage, flood estimation, scour protection, erosion control and climate resilient road infrastructure. -
Ethiopian National Railway Drainage Engineering Programme
Provided technical leadership for planning, design review and construction supervision of drainage systems serving more than 1,450 kilometres of railway infrastructure. Major programmes included the Addis Ababa to Djibouti Railway, Awash to Weldya Railway, Weldya to Mekele Railway and Addis Ababa Light Rail Transit. -
Modjo Meki Expressway Drainage and Flood Modelling
Provided technical leadership for highway drainage design and two dimensional flood modelling for the Modjo Meki Expressway in Ethiopia. Managed hydrological assessments, stormwater systems, culvert design, flood mitigation, multidisciplinary coordination and detailed engineering documentation. -
Wastewater Treatment Plant Reviews for Thirteen Universities
Provided senior technical leadership for independent review and optimisation of wastewater treatment plant designs serving thirteen university campuses in Ethiopia. Served as an invited postgraduate lecturer with the title of Assistant Professor at Addis Ababa Institute of Technology.
