The assignment includes supervision and technical management of secondary pipelines and remaining Phase 1 works, contractor coordination, design review, inspections, quality assurance, contract administration, reporting, materials and equipment review, testing and commissioning, defects liability supervision and coordination of multidisciplinary site teams. -
Welmel Irrigation Development Project – Project Manager
Served as Project Manager for construction supervision and contract administration of the Welmel Irrigation Development Project in Ethiopia. The project covered Welmel Weir, feeder canal and associated structures together with primary, secondary and tertiary irrigation canals, drainage systems, field roads, field drains and project facilities. Responsibilities included project planning, team leadership, budget management, progress coordination, payment certification, claims, variations, contract compliance, construction schedule evaluation and major technical and management decisions. -

Upper Guder Fato Dam and Irrigation Development Project
Held progressive leadership positions including Assistant Resident Engineer and Acting Resident Engineer on the Upper Guder Irrigation Development Project. Supervised major dam and irrigation works including the Fato Main Dam, shaft spillway, intake and outlet structures, dam instrumentation, drilling and grouting, cofferdam, diversion channel, access roads, irrigation and drainage infrastructure and sprinkler irrigation systems. Kuraz Right Bank Main Canal and Associated Structures Lot 2 – Resident Engineer
Served as Resident Engineer for construction of approximately 18.571 km of the Right Bank Main Canal and associated structures at the Kuraz Sugar Development Project. Led project implementation coordination, budget forecasting, technical staff organization, design review and modification, construction scheduling, contract-document management, contractor performance evaluation, quantity measurement, take-off preparation, payment certification, construction supervision and quality control. -
Kuraz Right Bank Main Canal – 25 km Irrigation Infrastructure
Served as Office Engineer on the construction supervision and contract administration of approximately 25 km of the Kuraz Right Bank Main Canal serving a major irrigation development area. The works included intake structures, cross-drainage culverts, de-silting structures, aqueducts with bridge crossings, escape structures, siphons, secondary canal cross regulators and head regulators. Responsibilities included working drawings, design modification, technical reporting, quantity measurement, payment certification, claims, variations, construction programming, final accounts and taking-over certification. -
Kuraz Sugar Development Project – Feasibility Study and Main Canal Design
Served as Site Coordinator Engineer for study and design of the Kuraz Sugar Development Project Right Bank Main Canal. Conducted and coordinated initial work planning, scheduling, detailed data collection, surveys, geotechnical investigations, field studies, feasibility assessment and preparation of engineering design outputs and reports for major irrigation infrastructure development. -
Welenchiti Irrigation Project – 1,700 ha Sprinkler Irrigation
Worked as Junior Engineer on the Welenchiti Irrigation Project in East Shewa, Ethiopia. Contributed to drainage requirement studies, preliminary irrigation system design and construction supervision of approximately 1,700 hectares of sprinkler irrigation infrastructure, including main and primary canals, associated structures and pipeline installation. -
Watershed Management and Small-Scale Irrigation Development
Served as Team Leader from 2008 to 2014 on watershed management and small-scale irrigation development activities in Arsi and Sire, Ethiopia. Led reconnaissance, pre-feasibility and feasibility work for watershed management and small-scale irrigation projects, monitored design against implementation, supported design modifications, participated in technical coordination and led watershed identification and small-scale irrigation design activities.
