Terms and Conditions

Rules for expert registration, profile review, publication and platform use.

1. Scope

These Terms and Conditions apply to the use of the African Expert Database, including the expert registration form, public expert profiles, directory listings, profile review process and related platform services.

2. Expert Registration

By submitting the registration form, the applicant confirms that the information provided is accurate to the best of their knowledge and that they consent to internal review by the platform administrator.

3. No Automatic Publication

Registration does not create an automatic public profile. The administrator may review, refine, approve, reject, correct, delay or request clarification before any profile is published.

4. Public Profile Preparation

If accepted, selected professional information may be used to prepare a public expert profile. The administrator may improve grammar, structure, wording, professional presentation and category placement while preserving the professional meaning of the submitted information.

5. Applicant Responsibility

Applicants are responsible for submitting truthful, lawful and professional information. They must not submit false qualifications, misleading claims, unauthorized photos, copied biographies, fake CVs or information that violates another person’s rights.

6. Protected Contact Details

Private contact details are treated with care and are not automatically published. The platform may provide controlled visibility features, professional contact options or administrator-managed communication depending on the platform design and privacy settings.

7. No Guarantee of Employment or Contracts

Inclusion in the African Expert Database does not guarantee employment, consultancy contracts, institutional selection, project assignment, funding, partnership or business opportunity.

8. Platform Integrity

The administrator may block duplicate registrations, suspicious submissions, false profiles, spam, abusive behavior or attempts to misuse the platform.

9. Intellectual Property

Applicants retain responsibility for the materials they submit. By submitting a profile photo, biography, CV or professional information, they confirm that they have the right to submit those materials for review and controlled platform use.

10. Modification or Removal

The platform may update, hide, suspend or remove profiles when information is outdated, inaccurate, duplicated, inappropriate, disputed or inconsistent with the professional mission of the database.

11. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by Swiss law, subject to any mandatory provisions that may apply.
