Product Description

A button dripper is a small point-source drip irrigation emitter designed to deliver a controlled amount of water directly to individual plants. It is commonly installed into a PE lateral pipe by punching a small hole in the pipe and pressing the barbed end of the dripper firmly into place. Once installed, water flows through the dripper and is released slowly near the plant root zone.

Button drippers are useful where water must be applied to specific plants rather than along a continuous crop row. They are widely used for trees, seedlings, nursery bags, greenhouse crops, orchards, gardens, landscaping, and smallholder irrigation systems. Each dripper supplies water at a selected flow rate, such as 2 L/h, 4 L/h, or 8 L/h, depending on the crop requirement and supplier model.

Inside the dripper, water passes through a small internal flow path or labyrinth. This helps reduce the speed of water and control the discharge so that the plant receives water slowly and efficiently. Some button drippers are pressure-compensating, meaning they are designed to maintain a more uniform flow even when pressure changes along the lateral pipe.

For best performance, button drippers should be used with proper filtration, because small particles in the water can block the internal flow path. A pressure regulator is also recommended to keep the irrigation system within the safe operating pressure range.

This product is suitable for farm use, greenhouse production, nursery irrigation, orchard watering, garden irrigation, and training demonstrations. It is also a useful teaching material because it clearly shows how point-source drip irrigation delivers water directly to the root zone with minimum waste.

Before purchase or installation, users should confirm the final supplier specifications, including flow rate, working pressure, connection type, material, filtration requirement, pressure-compensating function, and recommended installation method.

Manufacturer Note
This button dripper is presented by AquaLinked Water Technology Shop for product display, training, and educational purposes. Final manufacturer, model, flow rate, pressure range, connection type, material grade, and emitter design may vary depending on the confirmed supplier. Before purchase or installation, users should verify the official technical data sheet and installation guide provided by the final manufacturer or authorized distributor.
Material
UV-resistant polypropylene / engineering plastic body with rubber or silicone sealing parts
Pipe / Tape Diameter
For 16 mm / 20 mm PE lateral pipe — barbed insert type
Connection Type
A button dripper is not normally threaded like a valve or filter. It is pushed directly into a punched hole on the PE lateral pipe. The barbed end grips the pipe wall and helps prevent leakage or disconnection under low-pressure drip irrigation conditions.
Working Pressure
0.5–3.0 bar / 7–44 psi — supplier model to be confirmed
Flow Rate
2 / 4 / 8 L/h per dripper — supplier model to be confirmed
Application
Point-source drip irrigation for trees, seedlings, nursery bags, greenhouses, orchards, gardens, and individual plants.
